Van Kessel IT

Your ERP customisations on a modern system, at a fixed price

Your current system is the specification, so the price is fixed before we start. Van Kessel IT implements Wercstat ERP, extends Infor LN and other ERP systems, and modernises legacy software.

Fixed price

A fixed price, no months of requirements

With us, a modernisation does not start with months of writing down requirements: the source code and table definitions of your system already record what it does. How that is possible: we convert the existing code with AI. What is done by hand is stated in the quote. When we build something new, it starts with a specification that stays with the whole project. Read about our approach.

One point of contact

Those who build it implement it and stay involved

The makers of Wercstat ERP also implement it, so there is no finger-pointing between vendor and implementation partner. After delivery, errors and warnings reach your own support department, us, or both automatically. That way we often see problems before the user does. Read how that works in practice.

Knowledge secured

Knowledge that does not depend on one person

What we deliver is mainstream, modern Java, described in a readable model. So the knowledge of your software no longer sits in the head of that one developer, but in the system itself. Read about modernisation.

Thirty years of ERP practice

Cases

Since 1996 we have built customisations for ERP systems, Baan and Infor LN among them. These projects are still in production and still being developed.

Production of aluminium cladding

Euramax Cladding: customisations on Baan IV since 2000, with a Wercstat ERP layer since 2021

Since 2000, Van Kessel IT has built customisation modules on Euramax's Baan IV ERP: transport, quality and production modules that are still in daily use after 25 years. Since 2021, Van Kessel IT has also been the implementation partner of Wercstat ERP there, which runs next to Baan IV for sales orders, material and production planning, inter-company orders and stock scanning. Fully integrated and running 24/7, because production continues through night shifts.

  • Transport, quality and production modules on Baan IV, still in daily use after 25 years.
  • Wercstat ERP next to Baan IV (since 2021) for sales orders, material and production planning, inter-company orders and stock scanning, fully integrated.

Heavy machinery trade

Delta Heavy Machinery: nearly two decades of ERP and website

Van Kessel IT has been building Delta Heavy Machinery's ERP since 2007. It started as a Java desktop application for purchasing, sales, inventory, transport and the workshop; it has since been extended with marketing, a financial integration and a fully integrated website. The system is now being rebuilt step by step into a web application on Wercbanc.

  • One system for purchasing, sales, inventory management, transport and the workshop, in daily use since 2008.
  • Fully integrated website (deltaheavymachinery.com) with live stock and workshop inspections.

Retail 4500+ employees, billions in revenue

Large retailer: supply-chain web service in Java, continuously in production since 2016

In 2016 Van Kessel IT built a Java web service with complex supply-chain calculations for a large Dutch retailer (4500+ employees, billions in revenue). The service handles millions of requests per hour at 99.9% availability, is closely integrated with the existing ERP backend, and serves internal planning as well as the retailer's own web shop and large business customers. A companion service dashboard makes the logic behind every calculation visible in detail for customer service.

  • Millions of requests per hour, 99.9% availability since going live in 2016.
  • Serves internal supply-chain planning, the retailer's own web shop and large business customers from one central service.
